VICE CHAIR MOLECULAR PATHOLOGY
Practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. Provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Cancer Center, and serves as member of the academic medical enterprise; advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education.
The Vice Chair Molecular Pathology, Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories will allocate the position's effort between clinical, research, educational and administrative activities. The Vice-Chair serves as the CLIA Laboratory Director for the Advanced Diagnostic Laboratories, participates in all managerial decisions, and guides the operation of the laboratory ranging from selection of staff, choice of methods, purchase of equipment, quality assurance, quality control, safety, hours of operation, scheduling of staff, and utilization management. The Vice-Chair communicates effectively with accrediting, licensing, and regulatory bodies and also maintains effective communication with hospital staff and administration.

- Field of Study: Clinical or Anatomic Pathology
- MD or MD/PhD
- FL Medical License - REQUIRED
- Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum of two years' experience directing a molecular diagnostics laboratory.
- Preferred Experience:
- Completed a one or two year sub-specialty training program in Molecular Pathology or Molecular Pathology and Medical Genetics with ABP or ABMG board certification in Molecular Pathology/Molecular Genetics, OR Demonstrated formal training in molecular biology or molecular diagnostics.
